The trustees of Tenby Museum and Art Gallery were delighted to receive a visit from Pembrokeshire County Council’s Chief executive and leader last week, where they were able to highlight the importance of the venue, outlining the work undertaken and plans for the facility’s future development.

On meeting CEO Will Bramble CBE and leader David Simpson JP, chair of the Trustees, Cllr Michael Williams underlined the importance of the museum in developing it as a hub for learning about the history of the town as well as developing and promoting local artists.

Cllr David Simpson said: “It was lovely to visit Tenby with the Council Chief Executive Will Bramble at the invitation of Cllr Michael Williams.

“I always enjoy getting out to meet people and discussing how the Council can continue to work with them to make Pembrokeshire an even better place to live and work.

“There were some interesting conversations and issues to take back to fellow Members and Council Officers.

“The visit to Tenby Museum and Art Gallery was fascinating and I’d encourage everyone to pay a visit to see the collections displayed.

“Tenby has a long and interesting history and the Museum is a brilliant place to spend some time and learn about our past.”

Cllr Simpson and Mr Bramble also visited Tenby lifeboat station where they were met and shown around by the Coxswain Phillip John.
