THE Alzheimer's Society Pembrokeshire Branch recently held their 10th anniversary birthday celebrations.

Guest speaker was BBC Radio Wales personality Mr. Roy Noble, while local Mayors, Mayoressess and representatives from Social Services and the NHS Trust also attended the event.

All raffle prizes were generously donated by local businesses. The first prize, a night's half board at CwmWennol Country House in Saundersfoot, was won by Mr. and Mrs. Gill, who kindly donated this back to the branch to be received by a local carer.

The branch supports 40 carers, and their names were placed into the hat of the Mayor of Pembroke, Clr. Keith McNiffe, at the recent opening of the town's oldest charter fair in the country.

A lady from Llangwm who cares for her mother won the prize and is looking forward to a well-deserved break.
