The wedding took place at Stackpole Elidor Church on Easter Saturday of Mr. Martin David Mathias and Miss Jennifer Elizabeth John.

The groom, a farmer, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Mathias, of Bangeston Farm, Stackpole, while the bride, a senior manager in business banking finance with Lloyds TSB Bristol, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. R. John, of Lamaston Farm, Pembroke.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a modern a-line two-piece gown with corseted bodice in pure silk duchess satin with a silk organza overlay on the skirt.

The bridesmaids, all friends of the bride, were sisters Rachel and Catherine Thomas and Louise Rutherford.

Rachel and Catherine's dresses featured red georgette bodices with beaded necklines and chiffon a-line skirts, while Louise wore a mocha georgette bodice with mocha over blush chiffon a-line skirt.

Best man was the groom's cousin, Darryl Williams, while ushers were Roger Morris and Darren Callan (groom's friends) and Robert John (bride's brother).

After the ceremony, which was conducted by Rev. Roger Jones, with Dorothy Dowler as organist, a reception was held in a marquee at Heywood Mount Hotel, Tenby.

Later the couple left for a honeymoon in Thailand. When they return, they will make their home in Stackpole.
