A local holiday park is celebrating after it was awarded its 10th consecutive David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award.
Haven's Lydstep Beach Village is one of only a small number of holiday venues in the country to have held the top green accolade since the scheme started in 1998.
The latest award comes as the 93-acre caravan park has redeveloped the Bay View area of the site by planting more than 300 shrubs and trees.
Lydstep Beach Village is located next to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and two months ago the park - along with a second Haven park at Kiln Park, Tenby - also celebrated the 10th anniversary of a partnership with the Pembrokeshire National Park.
The two Haven parks help fund a National Park ranger, Jo Loman, who organises regular nature walks and rock pool rambles for holidaymakers and families who own caravans at Lydstep Beach.
Among bird and wildlife seen at the park are owls, wagtails, woodpeckers, bats, foxes, squirrels, badgers, and rabbits, while the nearby coast is a key breeding ground for Atlantic grey seals which have their pups from summer to autumn in secluded coves and bays.
Lydstep Beach Village has 480 luxury, modern caravans, of which almost all are owned by families who use them as holiday homes to take advantage of the park's beautiful setting and its many leisure and sports facilities, including a large boatyard for water sports.
All new caravans are supplied with energy saving lighting, and there is an extensive programme of recycling, including cardboard, glass and even used cooking oil.
The park also keeps a close eye on water use and is alerted to leaks by the water company if consumption suddenly rises.
Green Team leader Russell Knight said: "We are thrilled to get our 10th David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award. Professor Bellamy has been here on a number of occasions and I know this is one of his favourite holiday parks.
"It is great to have been involved in the scheme for so long and our aim is to maintain the beauty of the park for people to enjoy in the most sustainable way possible."
