One of Pembrokeshire's leading companies is splashing out on a new three-year sponsorship deal with Tenby's top festive highlight. FBM Holidays, of Tenby, has been welcomed this week as the main sponsor of Tenby's Boxing Day Swim, with company partner Tim Brace and Tenby Sea Swimming Association chairman Chris Osborne taking a paddle in the chilly waters off the North Beach to celebrate the new partnership. Now in its 36th year, the swim attracts hundreds of crazy bathers and thousands of spectators, and over the years has raised nearly £150,000 for charity. This year's event has the fancy dress theme of Heroes and Villains and TSSA's chosen charities this year are Macmillan Cancer Support, Mencap Cymru, the Tenby Talking Newspaper, Tenby Sea Cadets and the Arthritis Research Campaign. Said Chris: "Our sponsors have always helped to reduce our overheads, thus enabling us to maximise the contribution to charities. We are grateful to our past sponsors, and excited that FBM Holidays have now picked up the principal sponsor role for the next three years. This will support the swim's organisers' efforts to refresh and drive forward the event, ensuring we have a stable base and viably beneficial future." Added Tim: "It is a pleasure to sponsor Tenby's internationally-renowned Boxing Day Swim, and I look forward to joining the multitude of swimmers raising money for the TSSA charities." • Full details of the event and a sponsor form can be found on http://www.tenbyboxingdayswim.co.uk">www.tenbyboxingdayswim.co.uk
