The Mayor of Pembroke, Clr. Aden Brinn, and the Mayor of Pembroke Dock, Clr. Ron Watts, with their respective councils of Pembroke Town Council and Pembroke Dock Town Council, have both resolved to jointly confer the Freedom of their towns on HMS Pembroke.
There will be a joint ceremony of conferring the Freedom followed by a parade through Pembroke and Pembroke Dock of the ship's company led by a band of HM Royal Marines.
To honour the occasion, a civic luncheon will be held, sponsored by Chevron Texaco, and both Mayors extend their thanks and appreciation to them for their support.
Clr. Brinn and Clr. Watts are both delighted that their respective towns will honour the county adopted ship, the eighth ship to bear the name, HMS Pembroke.
