Tenby's historic Dyster Memorial Fountain is finally undergoing refurbishment, although it is still uncertain where the landmark will be located when returned to the town. Specialists Abbey Masonry and Restoration, of Cross Hands, currently have the fountain and have started to craft some pieces for it. The firm restored the fountain back in 1989 when it sat in the town's Tudor Square. "Mr. Kleinberg, who is restoring the Dyster, is pretty certain that he can get it back as a fully working fountain and is optimistic that it will be refurbished by April of next year," explained town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, to members of Tenby Town Council at their meeting on Tuesday evening. Estimated cost of restoring the fountain could near the £10,000 mark.
