The Hesed carol service took place on Sunday afternoon at Carringtons Restaurant, but only after Mark and staff had served up a delicious Christmas meal for the fellowship and friends.
Some of the other guests in the restaurant stayed for the carol service, which was very informal and included some singing in Welsh from those who could!
The Welsh speakers were greeted by Bertha. Debbie sang an impromptu solo for the first verse of a slightly 'jazzed up' Good King Wenceslas, Jackie also started one of the carols, and in We Three Kings, parts were assigned to three 'wise men.'
Pastor Peter gave a short talk based on the readings, which were taken from Genesis, Isaiah and the gospels. He told how Christ's coming had been planned and predicted throughout the whole of history, and talked about Jesus as the Prince of Peace.
There are no services in Tenby this coming Sunday, but there is an invitation to Bethel Baptist Church, Pembroke Dock, at 11 am and 6 pm, where Peter will be leading both services.
The next Hesed service takes place at the Avenue Centre, at 6 pm on December 28. Do visit the website, http://www.hesed.co.uk">www.hesed.co.uk to find out more about the life of the fellowship.
