On Easter Monday, Hebron Baptist Church braved the wet weather for a five-mile sponsored walk from Saundersfoot to Stepaside return.

Most of the £300 sponsorship was raised by members of Hebron's LIGHT Youth Group. The young people are also taking part in further fundraising events organised by the church. They have made a number of craft items which will be on sale along with cakes and preserves at a coffee morning on Saturday, April 28, in the church hall.

Money from these projects will purchase a cow and provide training for a poor family in Africa. The family will then have a sustainable income through milk and fertiliser production, as well as joining a breeding programme which will help others in their local and neighbouring communities.

So far, Hebron has raised £500 - two-thirds of the way to the £750 target. To keep track of their progress online, visit hebronbaptistsaundersfoot.org.uk and click on 'Moo-o-meter'!
