On Sunday, our younger bowlers were again in action when two rinks entered the Welsh Junior Under 16s competition held at Earlswood. Liz Goldwait, Rachel Hensman, Ryan Thomas and skip Liam Price played very well in a low scoring match, only to lose to Lee Evans's rink 11-7. The other rink, Ysie White, Adam Hensman, Dana Rogers and skip Joe Dennis, had an even closer match, before eventually losing to the Dinefwr rink skipped by B. Evans by only one shot, 14-13. Well done to our youngsters, who on a unfamiliar green and playing away, again gave a very good account of themselves. Indeed, with their other successes this season, they have done Heatherton proud.
WELSH OPEN TRIPLES
Our representative triples of Terry Lambkin, John Baggot and Terry Howells have got through the first rounds of the West Division. They have also progressed through the opening rounds of the Over 50s Welsh Triples. So good luck and hopefully they can go much further in both competitions.
