Saundersfoot Playgroup and Daycare have been successful in achieving the National Healthy and Sustainable Pre-School-Scheme award.

The aim of the scheme is to promote the health and well-being of children and families by making health improvement changes which become part of the daily life at the setting.

Topics they cover are - Nutrition and Oral Health, Physical Activity and Active Play, Mental and Emotional Health Well-being and Relationships, Environment, Safety, Hygiene and Workplace Health.

The setting has been involved with the scheme since 2016 and have embedded all health aspects into their daily routine to achieve this National award.

The award was presented to Cheryl Evans Saundersfoot Playgroup manager and her team at the playgroup by Mary Jones Healthy Pre-School Practitioner for Pembrokeshire.
