Hywel Dda Health Charities invites you to a ‘Fire Walk’ at Glangwili Hospital to raise funds for NHS services in Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.

Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, is calling on supporters to take part in the thrilling ‘Fire Walk’ at the hospital in Carmarthen at 5pm on Saturday, October 25.

Participants will walk barefoot across five metres of burning embers which reach temperatures of up to 800°C – all in the name of raising funds for NHS services across the locality.

The event is open to individuals and teams, with a £15 registration fee and a fundraising pledge of £85. Fundraisers can choose to support a specific ward, hospital or service, with all proceeds going towards funding items and activities which are beyond what NHS funding typically covers.

Claire Rumble, Fundraising Officer at the charity, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for our supporters to challenge themselves while making a real difference to our local NHS. The Fire Walk is about courage, community and commitment – and we can’t wait to see our supporters take on the flames!"

The aim of the charity is to make a positive difference to the health, wellbeing and experience of NHS patients, service users and staff across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.

The generous charitable donations received from patients, their families and local communities do not replace NHS funding, but are used to provide services and activities above and beyond what the NHS can provide.

Hywel Dda Health Charities raises and distributes funds to enhance local NHS services.
