Thanks to charitable donations, Withybush General Hospital recently purchased a new Dantec Clavis Handheld EMG device. The device cost a total of £2,700 and is designed to provide the functionality of EMG recording and stimulation with mobility and simplicity. It combines the quality of larger systems with the ease and flexibility of a handheld device.

Dr. Carlos Aguirre, associate specialist, said: “Thank you to everyone who has donated and helped towards the purchase of the Dantec Clavis Handheld EMG device. The device provides muscle and nerve localisation wherever needed to accurately guide and monitor injection of medicinal products. This device will help us to continue to provide spasticity management for patients within Withybush Hospital. We are extremely grateful for the continued support in helping us to improve patient care.

“Every donation assists Hywel Dda Health Charities to support and enhance local healthcare in many different ways. We are extremely grateful for every donation we receive, no matter how small or large.”
