Over 60 people attended the HARP sponsored walk at Colby Woodland Gardens on Sunday.
HARP is the new Head and Neck Cancer Recovery Programme that supports head and neck cancer patients. It offers three free sessions, giving patients recovering from cancer treatment access to advice, guidance and support on a range of issues from diet to oral hygiene; relaxation to counselling; and the welfare services available to them.
The programme aims to give patients a better understanding of the long-term side effects of their treatment and to promote self-management.
Emma Harries, head and neck cancer service assistant at Hywel Dda Health Board, said: “Thanks to everyone who supported, it was a fantastic day and was lovely to see the patients and their families coming together to support the service. ”
