THE appointment of four non-executive directors to the Pembrokeshire and Derwen NHS Trust was announced this week by the Minister for Health and Social Services, Jane Hutt.

The appointments are: Mr. Thomas Ferrand, who lives in Tenby. He took flexible early retirement at 55, but has since been re-employed as a relief support worker for Mencap Cymru and is based in Pembroke. He also has experience as a volunteer for Vision Homes, which he was a founder member of in the 1980s.

Dr. Robert Evans lives in Castlemorris. He is a retired engineer. Dr. Evans has experience of chairing committees during his professional life and as a school governor.

The re-appointments are: Mr. Keith James, who lives in Haverfordwest. He is a retired education administrator. Mr. James has experience as a non-executive director of the Pembrokeshire and Derwen NHS Trust and as an executive member to the Martin Roberts Children's Charity.

Prof. John Stoddart lives in Aberystwyth. He is now retired after spending 37 years within the Government-funded research environment. Prof. Stoddart has experience as a non-executive member on the Pembrokeshire and Derwen NHS Trust.
