A recent 'Hawaiian Night' held at the Lawrenny Arms in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief managed to raise a fantastic total of £535 for the charity. The successful night saw lots of people from all over the county turning out in some very amusing (and questionable!) costumes. Other features on the night included raffles, a coconut shy and beer served in pineapples. "It was a fantastic night and more importantly we raised a decent amount of money for what is in my opinion one of the most deserving charities," said organiser Jenny Hicks. "Everyone involved with Macmillan does a fantastic job and they were extremely grateful when we delivered the cheque to them earlier this week. "I would particularly like to thank Oakwood, Folly Farm, Heatherton, Thornton's Tenby, Fingertips, Caldey Shop, Equinox, N E Thing, Kazbah, The Wood Shop, Seren, Sharp Frames, The Welsh Gift Shop, Four Seasons, Griggles and James Williams, for their kind donations, and also everyone who turned up and helped out. I cannot thank you enough, and I'm sure they'll agree a great night was had by all," she added.
