AT this concert with the acclaimed Irish tenor Bryan Hoey and the popular Pembroke and District Male Voice Choir, the audience at St. John's Church Pembroke Dock, will be treated to a veritable feast of popular light music on Wednesday, September 19, at 7.30 pm.

Pembroke and District Male Choir, led by Phil Lloyd and well-known in our corner of Pembrokeshire, as well having taken part in concerts in Germany, Ireland and various parts of England, will be joined by Bryan Hoey, held to be one of Ireland's most versatile singers.

Bryan has sung as principal tenor with opera companies in Ireland and in the Isle of Man, as well as appearing with choirs including the Guinness Choir and Kilkenny Choral Society. He has also taken part with the RTE Radio Symphony and Concert Orchestras, and has made a number of appearances on Irish TV.

Prior to being here in Pembroke Dock, Bryan has just completed a series of engagements at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, and currently is engaged in a number of appearances on the south coast of Ireland. He has sung in England, and on mainland Europe, but this is his first concert in Wales To show that there is musical talent blossoming among the young in our own community, Cosheston Church in Wales School is planning to present an item from the older children.

Proceeds from the concert, which is being given generous support by Chevron, Pembroke, and Irish Ferries, will be allotted to the restoration fund of St. Michael's Church, Cosheston.

Tickets at £5 for adults, and £3 for children, are available from church members, from the St. John's Church Parish Offices, Tuesdays to Fridays, 10 am - 12 noon, and at the door.
