A Greenhill pupil was left spellbound recently as she got to meet and chat with one of the stars of the Harry Potter films.

Fifteen-year-old Alex Holmes, of Pembroke, entered a recent competition to meet actor Rupert Grint, who portrays the character Ron Weasley in the popular series of films based on J. K. Rowling's books.

In a competition run on the actor's fan website, Alex posed the question to Rupert, 'what one thing out of Harry Potter would he like to make a reality?' and won a meet and greet trip to London as a result of being one of the winners.

Radio One's Tom Deacon was on hand to oversee the proceedings while Alex had her photo taken with Rupert by OK magazine.

To round off the day, Alex and her mother also bumped into one of last year's X Factor finalists, Wales' Lloyd Daniels, outside the hotel and enjoyed a chat.
