A civic service was held outside St. Julian's Church on Tenby Harbour on Sunday for the new Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown. Led by Milford Haven Town Band and the Salvation Army Band, the service was preceded by a parade through the town made up of representatives of many of the town's organisations and youth groups, including the Sea Cadets, Cubs, Brownies, Guides, Round Table, Inner Wheel, Ladies Circle and Rotary. The service was conducted by the Mayor's chaplain, Rector of Tenby, Canon David Jenkins, while the Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Brown, read the lesson.
