Newport Shalom Fundraisers were delighted to donate a cheque for £10,000 to Shalom House, St. Davids, and wish the venture a happy birthday. The event coincided with the first anniversary of the opening of Shalom to patients.
The money was raised from many events over the past 12 months in Newport and North Pembrokeshire. These included garden parties, coffee mornings, a stall at the Newport Winter Wonderland, sale of the now famous All Cooks Great and Small recipe book, some of the Flower Festival proceeds and money raised by Super Salesgirl Ann in Swansea! The sister of Newport fundraiser Sian Brown, Ann has been selling scarves and cookbooks to help boost the Shalom funds.
All the local events were generously supported by the people of North Pembrokeshire.
The fundraisers are now busy preparing their stall at Newport's Winter Wonderland, which runs from December 11 to 14
