Tenby resident, Alex Attwell doesn't split hairs when it comes to raising money for charity as she showed at the weekend when she cut off her 20-inch braid in aid of Wales Air Ambulance.
The 29-year-old was the highlight attraction at the New Minerton Leisure Park on Sunday during their family fun day to help raise money for the helicopter charity.
Alex proved she was head and shoulders above the rest when she volunteered to have her long hair cut off in support of Wales Air Ambulance. Thanks to her sponsorship donations, the event brought in over £1,000 - a close shave to the price of an average lifesaving mission that the charity flies every day.
Mark Stevens, fundraising manager for Wales Air Ambulance, said: "I'd really like to thank Alex for her commitment, if I was asked to shave my head for charity, I'd really have to mullet over. We can't brush-off site owner Tomas Davies, who provided all the facilities and will be presenting a cheque for the money raised at a later date, thank you."
