A very hair-raising event took place recently at the Eagle Inn in Narberth raising £1,135.93 for the charity Breast Cancer Care.

Personal reasons led Matthew 'Muffy' McCabe to allow hairdresser Kerry Salmon to shave off his waist-length 10-year-old dreadlocks and auction them as they came off, the last alone raising £90.

Robert Owen also had his chest waxed by Jess Salmon, while twin brother Dan dyed his Mohican haircut bright pink.

As well as this, local people and businesses donated prizes for a raffle, with Erika Hole selling the tickets.

Organiser Lara Herde attracted over 300 people to attend the event at the pub run by Gail and Terence Watts.

Pictured receiving the cheque at the pub is Pembrokeshire's volunteer for the charity, Sheila Ralph, with Dan Lara Muffy and Robert.
