Gulf parents say ‘thank you’

Sir,

May we through your 'paper say a big thank you to Pentlepoir Post Office, Chris and Angela, and a special thank you to their son Nik.

Our sons, Mark Williams and Gareth Nock, are serving in the Gulf, Mark in the Royal Logistics' Corps IGS Regiment, Gareth in the Royal Marines 40 Commando.

Nik and his family came up with the idea of sending parcels out for our boys and to share out with other members of their troop. What a great idea. The boys have received them and sent messages home to say they were very much appreciated.

Our thanks also go to all the residents of Pentlepoir and the outlying areas who left goods and money to purchase items to send out; it is at times like this that village communities stand strong.

And finally to everyone who asked about the boys, their support helped so much.

Hopefully our boys will be back soon and will be able to say thank you in person.
