Saundersfoot Sports and Social Club was the venue on November 3 for a coffee morning in aid of the Tenby and Pembrokeshire Fundraising Branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
The event was well attended, and sincere thanks go to Roger and Barbara for the use of the Sports Club; Powells Holidays for their advertising space; John Butland who kindly supplied the milk; and the generous friends who provided some of the raffle prizes.
Thanks also go to everyone who supported the coffee morning, which raised £282.20 towards the training of guide dogs like Wilma and Oyster who were present.
Raffle winners were: Joan Parry, Sue Harris, Bill Cleevely, Helen Mayhew, Anne Einon, Iris Jones, Pat Poole, Ivy Harries, Connie King, Gladys Cleevely, Val Griffiths, Sandra John, Gwyneth Jenkins, Raydene Deakin.
The branch has had a very busy summer with stalls on Saundersfoot Harbour, street and store collections, concerts and coffee mornings, together with the sponsored dog walk in October.
Donations and counter and life-size collecting dogs have all helped to make 2011 a very successful year.
Grateful thanks go to everyone who has helped in so many ways; your support is much appreciated by all at the branch.
