The life-saving work of Wales Air Ambulance in Pembrokeshire was recognised recently by the Inner Wheel Club of Saundersfoot who held a successful Fish and Chip supper at the Mermaid Restaurant in Saundersfoot to raise funds for this charity and for PembrokeshireYoung Carers.
At the event, local businessman, Jeremy Earl, of Seawood Investments, very kindly gave the club a generous donation towards their chosen charities. Hilary Harvey, local fund-raiser for the Wales Air Ambulance, said: "The sum of £1,000 is a significant amount and will pay for the valuable golden hour that makes all the difference between life and death for a trauma patient. Our thanks to Jeremy and to the Inner Wheel of Saundersfoot for this generous donation." President of the club, Viv Williams, said: "I would like to thank all those who attended the supper and helped to make it an enjoyable and memorable occasion. It's good to know that the funds raised will help to make a difference to these two valuable causes."
