The Griffon Choir's annual general meeting for the year was held in Redberth Lodge on April 14. Reports by the officers looked back on a busy and successful year in spite of losing musical director, Edward Barbieri, to a frosty Inverness.

It is the choir's good fortune to have as Edward's successor, Richard Stephens - even though he has promised 'blood, sweat, tears and toil'.

From each conductor, choristers have learned so much and the meeting was an opportunity to thank them, especially Phyl Williams and Lynn Childs for all their help in the interregnum and give a warm welcome to Jasmin Thomas as the Griffons' new accompanist.

Officers elected for the coming year were as follows: chairperson, Dorothy Harris; treasurer, Judy McGilloway; secretaries, Margaret Brace (concerts), Mike Pedder (minutes); committee, Margaret Bradney, Ray Kane, Carole Llewellyn, Frank Morgan; auditor, Peggy Main; librarian, Anne Leney; advertising, Val Streeter; press officer, Freda Davies.
