Griffons and sun-warmed holidaymakers gathered in St. Johns Church, Tenby, on June 17, in aid of church funds and for a very attentive audience.
The choir sang mostly sacred works in English and Welsh, including works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Rutter and Mathias, under the baton of Richard Stephens, with Jasmine Thomas as accompanist.
In her first performance as a solo violinist with the choir, Jasmine, accompanied by Richard, delighted all her listeners with Kreisler's 'Sicilienne', followed by the prelude to 'Suite Antique' by John Rutter. Later, Richard proved himself one of the organ's virtuosi with part of Burgeon's 'Brideshead Variations', and then the stunning 'Processional' by Whitland-born William Mathias.
