The annual general meeting of the Griffon Choir was held on April 24 at Redberth Lodge.

Charles Clewitt (chair) delivered his report and commented on the variety and number of engagements undertaken throughout the year, highlighted by the performance of Mozart's Requiem Mass at St. David's Cathedral in April. The choir teamed with the Cantorion Ty Ddewi for a very memorable concert under the leadership of Dr. John Lavender.

The musical director, John Harrison, was delighted with the successful year of concerts. The music performed at various venues had been enjoyed by choir and audiences alike, and they look forward to another busy year of engagements.

Thanks were extended to all committee members for their commitment over the year and some new officers were elected. Special mention and gratitude was given to Judy McGilloway for her constant support and enthusiasm as choir accompanist.

The Griffon Choir always gives a warm friendly welcome to new members, especially gentlemen. Music undertaken is of a sacred and secular nature, from Oratorio to 'Songs from the Shows', and performed by invitation in churches, chapels and other venues who are fund-raising for charitable or public interest causes. Why not join them?

Rehearsals take place at 7.30 pm on Mondays at the Coronation Centre, Pembroke Dock.
