Pictured are members of one of the largest Sixth Forms in Wales, with 240 16 to 18-year-old students on roll. It is also one of the most successful, with outstanding results at AS, A2 and VCE examinations. This month, 90 per cent of the 2003-2004 Year 13 will be starting at universities of their choice, including Oxford. We are immensely proud of them. The Sixth Form offers a wide range of academic and vocational choices, suitable for students of all abilities and aptitudes. Good study and social facilities are provided, as are support for individual learning needs, study skills, work related education and guidance for future opportunities. We also have extensive links with adult education based in The Greenhill Centre in Tenby. Students are also encouraged to take responsibility for other aspects of school life: our bullying support programme (CHIPS); Year 7 induction; library supervision and safety on buses are examples of what is offered. Sports, music and drama are particularly strong in Greenhill's Sixth Form. We have a national reputation in rugby, hockey, netball, basketball and other games, and an international one for the creative arts, including music. Mr. Julian Dessent is responsible for the Sixth Form as a whole and Mrs. Carol Hicks for all vocational courses and work-related activities. Either would be happy to answer any queries readers might have. The school telephone number is 01834 840100.
