Noahs Ark Nursery, Narberth, has been awarded the Green Flag award, becoming the first nursery in Pembrokeshire to receive such an accolade.

The award comes as a result of the nursery having taken part in the eco-schools programme for early years settings.

The eco-schools programme is a way of providing the right messages in the early years relating to environmental awareness, global awareness and sustainability.

The children take part in a number of activities, including growing plants, taking care of animals and insects, recycling, saving water and electricity, enjoying all sorts of weathers and developing an understanding of other countries and cultures.
