Tenby based Seren School of Irish Dancing made their first public appearance on Sunday at the town's 'Party by the Beach'. Opened in April this year and run by 19-year-old Cheryl John, the school is already proving to be very popular with budding 'Riverdancers' and already has 30 pupils ranging in age from four years of age up to 21. The children (and adults) entertained the audience at the harbour with a demonstration of traditional and modern Irish dance. They are looking forward to dancing again this Sunday at the annual Paella Festival, also held at Tenby's harbour, and again on Sunday, August 3, at the second 'Party by the Beach' event. Dance teacher Cheryl said she was immensely proud of all her dancers, some of who had only been dancing for a few weeks. Anyone interested in classes can contact Cheryl on 07966579501 or 01834 842868.

Dance teacher Cheryl John is seen with pupils of the recently formed Seren School of Irish Dancing.
