Almost a year after opening, Nana's Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar, overlooking Tenby Harbour, continues to offer a total dining experience, with some new features soon to be served up as well! Perched above the magnificent harbour, looking down on the boats and beaches from its location on the corner of St. Julian Street and Crackwell Street, Nana's offers diners comfortable surroundings, quality service and, most importantly, great food and wine. On the ground floor is an amazing and very fashionable wine bar, with black marble tiles shipped from Naples on the floor and Italian granite on the bar. Add to that, futuristic chandeliers from Milan and leather chairs, and Nana's has created one of the most stylish 'got to be seen' establishments in Wales. Ice cold Nastro Azzurro and Messina beer and over 20 wines complement the great wine bar menu. So, if you like wines, you are sure to love Nana's wines - with Wednesday, November 24, a special date for all wine connoisseurs, as Nana's launch their exclusive wine tasting and banquet evening in association with Ciborio. The evening will comprise a six-course Italian banquet, accompanied by some of the finest wines from all regions of Italy, supplied by Ciborio. The banquet menu will feature a choice of exclusive Italian cuisine, with the range of starters including a platter of Italian cured meats imported from the finest regions of Italy. First course options include ravioli of fresh water crayfish tails coated in a rich shellfish, lemon and fresh basil veloute with freshly grated Parmesan; while for second course choose between succulent organic chicken supreme, filled with porcini mushrooms and shallots, wrapped in Parma ham, grilled to a light crisp then finished with sweet Marsala and mascarpone, or Sicilian baked aubergine with pinenuts, red onion, cherry tomatoes and fresh thyme with a hint of orange zest and comfit of red pepper. The starters and main courses will be followed by home-made Tiramisu with wild cherry compote; a fine platter of Italian cheese; and freshly ground Italian coffee. On the night, Ciborio, a famous Italian family of winemakers, who utilise their own vineyards to produce only the finest wines, will be sending one of their expert representatives to host the evening. The Ciborio name is very sought-after and renowned all over the world, and exclusive as they are, the sole supplier to only six restaurants in the whole of the UK - so it's an occasion not to be missed for both wine and food lovers. Following on from the evening of the banquet, Nana's will also be running an exclusive 'wine club', which people can join on an annual membership. During that time they will receive a case of wine every month for 12 months, incorporating all the seasons. Upstairs at Nana's, diners can relax in the lavish surroundings.
