Chetna Makan, star of the BAFTA award-winning cookery show, The Great British Bake Off, will be kicking off the programme of cookery demonstrations at Milford Fish Festival this summer.

Chetna was a semi-finalist in the baking competition in 2014, during which judge Paul Hollywood described her as the ‘Flavour Queen’, and now runs her own recipe blog, as well as creating recipes for the likes of Jamie Oliver.

Joining Chetna will be Saundersfoot’s award-winning Will Holland, who is head chef at the Coast restaurant on the shoreline of Coppet Hall beach which was recently named ‘AA Restaurant of the Year Wales 2015’. Will earned a Michelin star before the age of 30 and has appeared on national television programmes, including James Martin’s Saturday Kitchen and the Hairy Bikers Food Tour of Britain.

Also cooking up a storm in the kitchen will be chef Guy Morris, who splits his time between outside catering firm Ffwd-Food and food focused App making at iCustom Ltd.

Milford Fish Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26, this year and one of the most popular attractions is the cookery demonstration marquee.

Lucy James, marketing manager at the Port of Milford Haven, which is organising the two-day event, said: “We’re delighted that Chetna, Will and Guy will be providing cookery demos at Milford Fish Festival. They all have their own unique styles and creative flair so we’re looking forward to seeing what recipes they’ll create.”

There are only a few stalls available left to book. For more information please email [email protected] or visit www.milfordfishfestival.co.uk

Pembrokeshire Fish Week, which takes place between Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, July 3, will be co-ordinated by Pembrokeshire County Council.
