Sir,

A week last Monday, February 28, I was in Tenby to visit a relative living nearby.

At about 7 pm, I parked my car in the multi-storey and walked towards Sainsbury's, but it appears I met the low wall to the left of the pavement on the way to the store and fell over it to land face-first on the paving below.

Luckily, a passer-by saw me and a Good Samaritan rescued me with help from people in the shop and called 999.

I would like to express my gratitude to everybody who took such good care of me at the time, the two ambulance crews and in Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest.

Even the taxi driver who brought me back to Tenby on Tuesday night after my 24-hour stay in hospital charged me a lot less than the fare shown on the meter!

I have no recollection of the accident, but I believe that I was unconscious after the fall, so without the help received things could have been even more serious.

I would appreciate it if my rescuer could tell me more about what happened to me.

I was told that other people have taken the same short cut over the wall, so perhaps it is time the council installed a rail to protect the drop.
