Following the successful Grass Track race meeting held at West Atheston Farm during Narberth Civic Week, and promoted by Narberth Chamber of Trade, on behalf of the Civic Week committee, the Chamber were delighted to be able to present a cheque for £1,830.52 to Elizabeth Rogers, chair of the Civic Week committee.
The cheque represents the total profit from the evening and is seen as especially good when contrasted with last year's event which made a loss. The Chamber wishes to thank all those who made the event possible and more importantly such a success.
These include the sponsors listed below, with Costcutter donating a magnificent £250, Bancyfelin MCC, David Shakesby and Tim Bodfish (who it is hoped is recovering quickly from his broken collar bone).
A big thank you is also extended to all those who attended and took part in the event and the many spectators who the organisers trust thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Sponsors of the event were: J. J. Morris, Pembrokeshire Raceway, Taboo, Angel Inn, Narberth Glass, Sweet Memories, J. and K. Builders, West Wales Properties, Rushacre Garage, Taylor's Taxi, Comfort Zone, Simply Garden, Bethesda Milk, FBM, Low Cost Carpets, Utopia, White Womenswear, Dragon Inn, Peter Morris, Landsker Stores, AWP Engineering, Landsker Garage, Ken Morgan, Golden Sheaf Gallery, Taz and Toby, Ultracomida, A40 Garage, Inhouse Quilting, Ivy Bush, Williams Vision and Costcutter.
