Narberth Cylch Meithrin and Ti a Fi are delighted to have recently received a grant of £4,670 to enhance their outdoor play area at Bloomfield House in Narberth, from the lottery funded grants programme Awards for All Wales.
The money will pay for children and parent workshops run by the 'People Enabling Co-operative' on woodworking, willow weaving and gardening.
New benches, a willow tunnel, a raised bed, wooden horses and a wooden play platform will be installed as well as a refurbishment of the Ty Bach Twt.
Amber Wheeler, one of the leaders of the Ti a Fi, said that everyone was thrilled with the award.
"The process was fast and easy and I would definitely recommend the Awards for All Wales Grant Programme," she said.
Anyone who would like to see what has been achieved by the group are invited to attend the garden opening at their Ugly Bug Fun Day on Saturday, June 12, from 12 to 3 pm, at the Bloomfield Centre.
There will be refreshments, face painting, craft tables, cake stalls and much more.
Narberth Cylch Meithrin is a Welsh medium playschool that runs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9.15 am to 11.45 am, while the Ti a Fi is a Parent and Toddler group that meets every Thursday morning between 10 and 11.30 am. Both are held in the Bloomfield Centre.
Anyone interested in attending or would like more information, please call 07506 449 004.
