One of the largest buildings on the former Dairy Crest site at Whitland was demolished on Wednesday.

The work coincided with a public exhibition featuring the masterplan for the regeneration of the 19-acre site which was on display at the Hywel Dda Centre.

Following extensive consultation and involvement with the local community, the masterplan has been drawn up by a consultancy team led by URS, who were commissioned by Dairy Crest, the WDA and Carmarthenshire County Council.

The masterplan is for a mixed use development with housing, commercial and industrial uses, as well as leisure opportunities, based around the award-winning Whitland gardens.
