1st Issell’s Girl Guides are really proud of Lowri Cross from Saundersfoot who has been selected to represent Girlguiding Cymru and Pembrokeshire on a trip to the International Jamboree in Denmark in July and have planned an event in conjunction with Wisemans Bridge Rowing Club which they hope will help her complete her fundraising.

She has already received very generous donations from Saundersfoot Rotary, Trefoil Guild and Inner Wheel, Tenby. Lowri also completed the Saundersfoot New Year’s Day Swim, raising £175, and also held a successful coffee morning.

Tomorrow (Saturday), from 10 am - 6 pm, Wisemans Bridge Rowing Club plan to set-up some rowing machines on the harbour decking in Saundersfoot and see how far they can get in eight hours - Denmark is about 1,000kms.

Ideally, any volunteers to add to the miles would help their aching muscles. They also plan to sell tea, coffee and cakes and have a raffle, so donations of cakes and prizes would also be really appreciated.

It is hoped it will be a fun day and help people find out more about Wisemans Bridge Rowing Club and Girlguiding Cymru! If the weather is wet, the event will be held in the sailing club.

Any donations of raffle prizes would be gratefully received and can be dropped in to Elements on The Strand, Saundersfoot, or Marie at The Spar in Saundersfoot.
