Haverfordwest Leisure Centre was the venue on Sunday, for the first game between West Wales Girls representative squads and Sport Pembrokeshire Football Coaching Centre. The first match featured the Under 11 group, and provided a good crowd with a terrific game of football. Both teams played in a stylish, attractive, sporting and skilful manner, and with the Pembrokeshire girls eventually emerging as close winners by two goals to one, coaches Dan Bellis and Chris Griffiths were very satisfied. Next came the Under 15s group, and more of the same quality ensued. The movement and passing ability demonstrated by both teams was a superb advert for girls football, and both West Wales and Pembrokeshire can be proud, both by the sporting manner in which they played, and by the quality of football demonstrated. This match also finished with a close victory for Pembrokeshire by four goals to two.
