Two of Heatherton Park's employees recently returned home from a Stateside mission. Simon Webb (operations manager) and Gemma Harland (marketing manager) attended the IAPPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Associations) EXPO at The Georgia World Congress Centre in Atlanta.

From the visit to the premier show in the world for leisure industry, both Gemma and Simon returned with top tips and new ideas from worldwide park managers whose parks excel in family entertainment.

Currently, Heatherton Park is being further transformed with the addition of a top quality restaurant, an expanded gift shop and improved facilities for children under six.

Charles Davies (managing director) said: "To keep customers returning we need to be committed to developing new ideas, which includes new developments on the park and also continually looking to improve facilities and service.

"These physical improvements and investment in staff education and training are gearing us up to provide outstanding customer value. 2006 was a good year and we are looking forward to 2007," he added.

2007 will see a range of exciting events, including record breaking days, a new Maize Maze, visits from Shrek, Razer and a range of exciting competitions at the park.
