The annual fund-raiser, 'The Gazelle Cup', in conjunction with the Narberth Darts League, took place on Sunday, April 8, at Narberth RFC, with all funds raised going to baby Madison Unsworth. After many weeks of hard work, especially by Mr. Richard (Dicky) Morris, the vice-chairman of the league, who himself raised over £1,300, the event made a superb total of £2,043. This, as far as it is known, is the most ever raised and thanks go to the following who either donated raffle prizes or cash: N and B Concrete Services; Adam Kelly (Kelly Inns); Enigma; Buster; John Rees, Grace Hart, Tina Bates; Neil Jolly; Alan and Ally (Dingle); Karl, Sandra and Tara; Davies Daihutsu; Dyments; Andrew Rees Butchers; Celtic Vision; Idos; Costcutter; Moshulu; Spa; Bargain Box; Nobles; Audrey Bull; No. 47; White; Zoloko; Lloyds Pharmacy; Dragon House; Megna Indian; Narberth Kebab; Comfort Zone; Next Door; Dickmans; Folly Farm; Clerkenhill Farm; Heatherton; Landsker Stores; Landsker Garage, Templeton; Dicky Parry; Angel Inn, Narberth; Contented Sole; Simply Gardens; Paul and Sheree Morris; Pet Supplies; Busy Bees, Cold Blow; Dingle Caravan Park; Narberth RFC; Ivy Bush; Plash; Taf; Parcylan: Narberth RAOB; Dragon Inn; Lawrenny Arms and Glandy Cross. Many thanks on the day to Eric Bates and Wyn Phillips for conducting the draw, all those who entered the competition and bought raffle tickets, and Ann and John and staff of the RFC. The winner of the competition came from Pen-y- Graig which is the first time it has been won by someone who doesn't live in the county. Runner-up was Stephen Hughes, of the Tenby League. Furthest local player was Steve Poole (RFC B), who lost in the semis. Debbie Jones (RAOB B) won furthest lady, shared with her daughter Gemma.

Missing Cup

Unfortunately, the Gazelle Cup, which has been around for many years, has gone missing. It was last seen in the RAOB at the March meeting in a plastic bag. Anyone who knows of its whereabouts, the league would be grateful.
