The Mayor of Tenby has said that the town council are very hopeful that work on a development on the site of the former Gatehouse Hotel will start next spring, subject to planning approval.

Councillors met with the site's owner, Mr. Graham Fry, at the Royal Lion Hotel ahead of their meeting on Tuesday night to discuss what was happening with the proposals.
