The Galloping Major pub in New Hedges recently held a race night and quiz night to raise money for worthy local causes.

Both evenings were very well supported and the atmosphere was great.

Darren 'Sumo' Griffiths ran the commentary superbly in conjunction with Eric Bates and Honest Sid's Promotions to ensure the race night had all thrills and spills of a day at Ascot with John McCririck!

The quiz night had guest compere Dennis Reed, who ran the show superbly to a full house.

For all their efforts, staff and guests at The Galloping Major raised over £300 for Tenby Juniors Football Club and £250 for New Hedges Village Hall - thank you to all for your support.

The Galloping Major season has come to a close, but will re-open next year - spring 2012.

Thank you to all the customers that have supported the first season, and Jane, Jo and staff look forward to seeing you all next year.
