Vintage tractor enthusiast Alun Thomas from Ambleston recently organised his third fundraising tractor rally in support of the Cancer Day Unit at Withybush Hospital.
More than fifty fellow enthusiasts joined him to create a cavalcade of vintage vehicles which toured mid Pembrokeshire to help raise funds.
A total of £1,300 was raised on the day and was presented to the nursing team recently in gratitude for the wonderful work they do with patients.
Supported by his daughter Enfys this is the third such event which has helped Alun to raise just under £4,000 for the Unit to date.
Bernie George,Trustee of the Withybush Hospital Cancer Day Unit Appeal commented: “We are so grateful for Alun’s efforts to support others going through treatment.
“An ex-patient himself, he understands the importance of the Unit to our community. The nursing team were keen to meet up to thank Alun and Enfys for their hard work in raising funds which will go to support others.”
