Paul Varallo (chairman) and David Stewart-Walvin (secretary), of Tenby Male Choir, recently presented a very generous donation cheque to Chris Brace and Simon Rossiter in connection with their fundraising efforts for the cancer charity Bloodwise.

Simon and Chris were due to take part in various triathlons this summer for charity, including the Long Course Weekend and Ironman Wales, but earlier this year Simon was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer, which prevents him from taking part in any of the events planned, but not from being an active part of their fundraising efforts in connection with the Bloodwise charity, and the response has been amazing.

Simon said: “On behalf of Chris, the Bloodwise charity and myself, we would like to say a huge thank you to the Tenby Male Choir and all the very kind and generous people who have already provided sponsorship and donations.

“Your response has been amazing and humbling and we can’t thank you enough,” he continued.

Chris and Simon’s wife Debbie also completed the Cotswolds Middle Distance Triathlon event on Sunday, June 12, which consists of a 1.2 mile lake swim, 56-mile bike ride and a 13-mile half marathon, as part of the challenges set to raise money for the Bloodwise charity.
