The general knowledge fun quiz evening, organised by the Narberth branch of RNLI at Narberth Rugby Club, attracted almost 100 entrants and was a great success.

To date it has raised over £390 for the RNLI special SOS appeal funds.

Quiz master Bill Carne asked questions which were both searching and entertaining and the buffet prepared by Anne Lonsdale and her team at the rugby club was first class.

Glenda and Paul Wilkinson and Sally and Gary Thomas were the quiz champions on the night and donated their prize winnings of £25 to RNLI funds.

The committee would like to thank Bill Carne for being such a superb quiz master and everyone who attended or supported the event in any way for their generosity. In addition, the service provided by Anne Lonsdale and the staff of the rugby club was excellent and very much appreciated.

Raffle prize winners were: fruit hamper - Emily Rigby; bottles of wine - Audrey Thomas, John Morris, Jan Higgins, Brenda Williams, Ray and Maureen Harries and Chris Guy; box of biscuits - Non Jenkins; box of chocolates - Elizabeth Rogers; napkins – Peter and Anne Morris; necklace - Sally Thomas.
