Wind turbines, walks, castles and a candlelit service are among the attractions planned by the Friends of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park over the next few weeks.

A planning officer with the Pembrokeshire National Park Authority will update members on the planning process for wind turbines. He will highlight the relevant national and local planning policy for wind turbine proposals and outline the methods used by the Park Authority when considering their impact upon the National Park. This event will be held in Uzmaston Hall on Thursday, November 7.

National Park Challenges -Past, Future and Present will be the theme of the UK Park Societies annual conference in Tenby on November 15-17th. Over 100 delegates will be attending from literally all over the country.

Members, their families and friends are invited to attend a carol service in St. Bridget's Church, St. Brides, on December 15 and Uzmaston Hall will be the venue of a presentation on the widely acclaimed restoration of Roch Castle. The date of this event is January 22. A castle will also be centre stage in February when a special guided visit of Pembroke Castle is being planned.
