The Friends of Jubilee Park are looking forward to getting back in to the park in September.

In August, the grass was cut, but generally nature was allowed to take its course, with wildflowers, lots of butterflies and tadpoles turning in to frogs. Many local residents, their visitors and those from further afield enjoyed the park and the play area and some young cricketers practised in the field.

The next work party will be on September 7, 10.30 am -12.30 pm, and all are welcome. The jobs involved will include repairing areas of path and clearing the growth around the gateways, as well as checking tree stakes. No doubt there will be time for a little blackberry picking!
