LAS of Narberth have been playing host to a French student from Lyon this month. Kevin Julliard, a student in agricultural engineering at La Lycee Agricole de Savoie, is 21-years-old and has been on an exchange visit to Wales, through Coleg Sir Gâr which has long connections with the French college. The student was placed with LAS on work experience and as with previous exchange visits; local agricultural dealers have been very supportive. Huw Morgan, agricultural engineering lecturer at Coleg Sir Gâr, said: "The exchange has been of benefit to both parties. LAS were very supportive of Kevin, who was far from home, and found him to be a very good mechanic. "Kevin benefited from contact with the very latest in technology, and I am sure will be returning to France full of new ideas. We look forward to next year's exchange." LAS have been active supporters of the exchange. Stephen Lawton, service and parts manager at LAS, said: "LAS and Coleg Sir Gâr have had a strong alliance for many years and we have enjoyed being involved with the exchange." The French student has certainly benefited from the exercise. He said: "LAS have a very good set up and it was interesting to work with some of the state of the art John Deere equipment. It also gave me an insight into Welsh farming methods."
