Special guest at last month's Tenby Rotary Charter Dinner was former Wales rugby international Paul Thorburn.
Paul gave a fascinating talk at the dinner about his time as tournament director for the 1999 Rugby World Cup, telling of how the competition had grown into a global event.
The Charter Dinner was held at the Lion Hotel on Tuesday, April 21, and was attended by 20 local Rotary Club members
Footnote: Paul, who retired from international rugby in 1991, still holds the world record for longest penalty kick, some 64.2 metres, in the 1986 Five Nations match against Scotland.
